1. 1.) What did you learn about the College?
When we went on
the field trip to Bryan Medical I learned a lot of things about the college and
the majors the college offered. I learned that Bryan has no on campus housing
and there are two separate campuses. I found out that they have nursing,
sonography, and biomedical majors. And I also learned about sonography how it’s
not just babies but hearts, veins and arteries.
2.
What impressed you the most about the College?
The cadavers was defiantly the most
impressive part of the college. The student they had to teach about the
cadavers was very nice and she was a great guide. I also liked the fact that
the college is attached to the hospital. This setup reminds me of our own
system at the Health academy and I thought that this was cool.
How does this experience benefit you in your
future career goals?
This
experience was really great for me wanting to go into the medical field because
it gave me my first real look at the human body up close and personal. Text
books only go so far and getting to see this in high school was super cool.
Also the student teaching the cadaver lab wants to become and physician’s assistant
when she graduates. This is beneficial to me because that is also the future career
I wish to go into. Seeing someone who wants to do the same thing as me gives me
an idea of what I will be doing when I get to where she is.
3. Did
you find this field trip valuable?
Explain your answer.
Yes I found this
field trip very valuable as juniors we don’t have a lot of opportunities to go
on many college visits yet. So it was great that the school gave us this chance
to look in depth into one of the possible colleges that we are able to attend. Even
though I do not plan on going to this school it was still very neat to see and
talk to some of the actually students who go to this school. Also getting to
see the plastinates and the cadavers was ever informational and a great
learning experience.
